the key to switch it on or off is N (of course you have to buy it first). You can see and change this and all other keys in the options.

I think it does not matter if you have a Night vision, because its the same if you have a Night vision or not.

no its not!!! when i played the original i was in the tunnel of milicia and when i turn on night vision it was much easy to see all ppl in the dark but without them i cant see nothing
